Julie Short @ Time to Create!!
Time To Create Handmade Treasure  My Photo
Exploring, creating and living authentically is important to me.
Sharing my crafting with others at Time To Create, my Studio/Shop is a passion.

Hello I'm Julie Short and I am delighted to be the Guest Designer for November. During the past 20 years my Super Star and I have slowly turned a neglected paddock with a house into "Idyll Hours". Our home, which we share with many wild creatures is at Modanville, a rural location in Australia. During my teaching career a consuming interest in the Creative and Performing Arts area of the curriculum had me totally involved in dancing, singing and making! I have had a lifelong passion for the environment too, believing that I should minimize my impact as much as possible. My many interests -including printing, fabric art, exploring colour and texture all tend to mix together as I "Make Stuff" It was the need to share and explore all sorts of creative experiences which led to me opening Time To Create. Having a home studio /shop and an online presence keeps me very busy. I love teaching and sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for crafting! My muse "Whatif" is ever present, messy fingers and experimentation continues to excite me. I know exactly where to step when I tiptoe up from my studio in the wee small hours too! I began scrapbooking because my wedding photos literally tumbled out of the awful original album they were in. Looking back, there are many pages that make me cringe. However for me Scrapbooking is an opportunity to tell stories! There is something magical about selecting a photo or an image and then gathering the bits and pieces that go together to make a page. It's the back stories that are often the most interesting. Not just who but the how and why make for real layouts! I hope you enjoy seeing what I do! Julie

We're so excited to have Julie join us for the month! Here's some inspiration from her to get this challenge started!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you find time to create with us this week!

This one picture masterpiece will have many a mother finding her own story told here, I am sure.
