Happy Sunday scrappy friends! I hope that you are having a great weekend!
We are back with our second challenge of the month and I can't wait to see what you create for it! In keeping with our - Around the House - theme, this week our challenge is:
LM #365 - Use children's artwork or journaling or be inspired by a children's book.
We have another guest designer joining us for the next couple of challenges! Please help us welcome June!
Hello! My name is June Swart, but I often go by Super Stick Chick in “blogland.” It is so exciting being a guest designer here at Lasting Memories and working with such a talented team. I am a stay-at-home mom who lives in Minnesota and is married to her sweetheart, Jeff.
We have two wonderful teen/adult sons and one feisty cat. I love to do all sorts of paper crafting, gardening, and aerobics. I started scrapbooking as a teenager in the 1970s. Back then we scrapped mostly memorabilia – no photos. Things have really changed since then, with photos, pattern papers, and embellishments being added. I love that scrapbooking has become an art form. I play with all sorts of styles from CAS to mixed media. I also make lots of cards. If you would like to check out more of my work, please visit my blog (http://superstickchick.blogspot.com/). I’d love it if you would leave a comment if you see something in particular that you like.
I hope you feel inspired and have some fun joining us here at Lasting Memories. I can’t wait to see your creations!
-June
Here is a look at what the design team has created - starting with our guest designers:
I´ve been inspired by a children´s book. Astrid Lindgren was a famous Swedish author and she wrote many wonderful books. One of them was "Barnen I Bullerbyn". I´ve looked for a translation of that title and only found "The children of Noisy village". But I don´t know if that is the correct translation. When I first saw this photo I directly thought about that book.
This baby shower & layout were inspired by the book 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle
I used a piece of my Grandson's artwork as the base for my layout.
I added the paper that our grandson was writing on to the layout
We are offering up a prize this month. Link up your layouts by October 28th for your chance to win this:
