Hello, everyone! Welcome to the start of our June challenges! We are so happy that you stopped by today - you are in for a treat!
Once again, a big thank you to Rachelle and Leslie for being our guest designers in May, and thanks to all of you that played along with us, too! We had 58 beautiful entries last month. Be on the lookout for our Top 3, our guest designer picks, and our prize winner to be announced this week.
The new month brings with it not only a new theme and a new set of challenges but new guest designers, as well! Please help us welcome Essie and Jessica this month:
June GDT - Essie
Hello, I’m Esther, 43 years old.
Together with my son from 12 years old, and my husband I live in Almere, the Netherlands. I work part-time as a financial administrator by an importer for photography supplies. Besides my scrapbooking hobby, I like to go hiking, geocaching and traveling. Of course, these are the perfect combinations with taking pictures to scrap. With a husband, who is a hobby photographer, I always have the choice of a lot of great pictures for my layouts.
When I scrap I love to work with sketches. Usually, I make double page layouts. When I have a sketch for a single page, I combine these often with a layout template. This is a great way to put a lot of photos on a layout.
I’m a “clean” scrapper. Yes, I also like all the mix media products and use them, but almost never very much on one page. Something I always do is inking the edges of every photo and piece of paper on my layout. Further, I really like to use rubons, (letter) stickers, die cuts, chipboard pieces, and my cutting machine.

June GDT - Jessica
Hello from Minnesota! I am Jessica. I have 5 children ranging in age from 11 to 2 weeks (born 5/17/18) who are the subject of most of my scrapbooking projects and a wonderful husband. I started scrapbooking around 2000 with photos from high school. My collection and skills have expanded and grown since then. I love working with bright colors and trying new artsy techniques. I have a Cricut Expression that I use to create titles and fun embellishments for many of my layouts. I make mostly 12x12 layouts, pocket pages, and cards, but have made several mini albums. I am excited to be guest designing with Lasting Memories this month!
You can see more of Jessica's beautiful work on her blog - Create and Share.

I have used acrylic paint to color the edges of the pictures and the edge of the background cardstock on my double page layout. The wooden fish is also painted and the drops are made with a template and acrylic paint.
