Hello, everyone! Welcome back - we are so happy that you stopped by today! We hope that you are enjoying your weekend.
It's time for a new theme and a new set of challenges here at Lasting Memories. Before we get to all of that we would like to welcome our November Guest Designer, Cheryl!
Welcome, Cheryl! We are so excited to have you as our guest designer this month!
Now, on to the challenge. DT Deanna is our hostess this month and she has created some super fun challenges to work with. Our theme for November is - Techniques - that special little thing that puts the finishing touch on your layout. This week's challenge is:
#419 - Techniques - Paper Tearing - I love adding a bit of texture to my work by using torn paper. This week our challenge is rather simple and easy to use - "2 or More Torn Papers".

Hi everyone! My name is Cheryl Even and I’m very excited to be a guest designer for Lasting Memories this month. A Southern California native, I have been married to my college sweetheart Greg for 26 years and am a SAHM to four wonderful kids, Adrian, Elliot, Brianna, and Oliver Angel. I’ve been scrapbooking ever since I went to my first scrapbooking party and decided to try it for a month to see if I liked it. 20 years later, I think you could say I stuck with it and loved it! Although my life is really busy with raising four children, leading a women’s Bible study, and singing on the worship team at church, I usually find time every week to sneak away to my craft room to scrapbook, and then I post my completed work on my blog,https://evenmorescrapping.blogspot.com/.

{You may, of course, add anything else.}

Such a great variety of ways to use paper tearing! Be sure to stop by all of the design team blogs to read more about their layouts.
DT Deanna is offering up a generous prize for November, so be sure to link up your layouts by Saturday, December 1st for your chance to win a $20 gift certificate to A Cherry On Top!
Hi, I'm new here. I was wondering where past linky's were. I couldn't find any. And what sort of shop is a cherry on top? There don't appear to be any links to them and they aren't in your sponsor list. Thanks
ReplyDeleteIt's an online store with message board and gallery. Hope you'll come join us. Here's a link...

Hi, Iona! We are so glad that you found us! I hadn't even thought about adding past linky's to one of the posts for the month. I have gone back and added last month's linky to the last challenge for that month (Oct. 21st post) and will try to go back and add for the last few months and continue from here on out. It will be at the very bottom of the post.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful layouts! I so enjoy the various challenges that you offer.
ReplyDeleteSo glad I found this fun challenge. Everyone's layouts are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteLove this technique, thanks for offering this challenged! Not being careful I have entered a wrong link to my submission page on my blog. It is coming up as an internal link and I can't delete the Mister Linky for it. In trying to change it I have made a second post instead. So embarrassed, hope the admins can fix this please.

I also love tearing paper!! I tore my strips and background paper to make it give my page a more "woodsy" feel! This was a fun challenge! Thanks for letting me play along!! (Hi Deanna...thanks for the invite!)
ReplyDeleteI always seem to forget about tearing my paper - thanks for the challenge!
