Hello, everyone! Happy December! Can you believe this year is almost over? Be on the lookout for winners post this week for October and November challenges.
A new month means a new theme and a new set of challenges, but before we get to that, we have a new Guest Designer to introduce. Please give a warm welcome to our December Guest Designer, Jill Rugg:
I live in Somerset, Pennsylvania with my husband, our 20 year old daughter and 11 year old son. I am a high school mathematics teacher and use scrapbooking as my creative outlet. I have been crafting since I was a child, but in 2003 I fell in love with scrapbooking and it has become my favorite hobby. Of course, my family photos are always my inspiration for my layouts. In 2010 I started a blog and love participating in all the fun challenges! Thank you Lasting Memories for having me as Guest Designer. It is a big honor for me!
You can see Jill's beautiful work on her blog - Just Jill.
Now, on to the challenge. For December, DT Lauren is our hostess and she has created some great challenges for us. Our theme is - Holiday Traditions - and our first challenge is:
LM #424 - Old Time Photo - create a layout with a photo from the holidays when you were a child.
Here is a look at the design team creations - starting with our guest designer, Jill:
{I pulled out some vintage looking Fancy Pants papers that were dated 2012 to go with this old Christmas photo. I'm the little one on the left riding the little wooden horse.}

Here we have 1990ish and 1994! I have been meaning to tell this story, and I am so happy this prompt made me finally do it!
I used old K&Co Papers to document Christmas 1992. I was 9 years old and REALLY into American girl dolls at that time!
Such beautiful layouts from the design team!
We know the holiday season is busy but we do hope that you can find some time to play along with us!
Link up your layouts by Saturday, December 29th for your chance to be our guest designer and for the chance to win a $15 gift certificate to an online store of choice.
This sure is a different idea! Love your pages so far. Just sent in an order to Shutterfly for this challenge.

ReplyDeleteI finally got this one done. I knew I wanted to do this page for my album using older photos of me as a child.
