LM #443 - Kindergarten Day

Hello, everyone! Happy Easter to you! We hope that you are having a good holiday weekend!

It's time for our last challenge of the month, but before we get to that we want to say a big thank you to Mindy for being our guest designer for us this month! I have so enjoyed seeing her beautiful work each week!

Now for this week's challenge - our theme for April has been - Holiday insights for interesting prompts - and this week our interesting holiday is - Kindergarten Day.

It's Kindergarten Day! The first day of Kindergarten is a memorable, exciting, nervous, and anxious time for mother and child. Most children and mothers will never forget the first day of Kindergarten. Hopefully, it was a good experience for all!

Kindergarten Day is celebrated in honor of Fridrich Froebel. He was born on this day in 1782. In 1837, he started the first Kindergarten in Germany. It became popular quickly. Kindergartens were originally a 1/2 day to get children acclimated into learning, social interaction, and school, in a fun, yet educational manner. Kindergarten has evolved in most areas into a full-time program. This is partly the result of increasing pressures on education, and partly due to the increase in working mothers.

Celebrate today with a trip down memory lane.

LM #443 - Create a layout of you and/or your (or someone's) child's first day of Kindergarten.

Here are the design team creations, starting with our Guest Designer, Mindy:
