Introducing May's Guest Designers

Hello, hello! Happy Saturday to you! I hope that your weekend is off to a great start.

Today we are introducing our talented guest designers for May! Please help us give a warm welcome to Amy Jo and Cheryl!

 May GDT - Amy Jo

Hi there! I’m Amy Jo Johnston and I live with my husband and 10-year-old daughter in Arvada, Colorado. I’m originally from small town Minnesota but moved to Arizona when I was in elementary school. I earned my BA in Secondary Education with an emphasis in mathematics at ASU and went on to teach high school math for 6 years. In 2008 I moved to Denver, changed careers, and starting coaching dance full time in the NBA. My passion for scrapbooking starting when I was in elementary school and really took off when my twin nieces were born in 2004. Family gatherings are my favorite things to document, but I also love showcasing highlights from my NBA career. I discovered the online scrapbooking community during the pandemic and have thoroughly enjoyed "meeting" and being inspired by so many scrappers from across the country. When I’m not scrapbooking, I love to spend time antiquing, taking yoga classes, and camping. Thank you for allowing me to be guest designer this month; I am honored!

Next up is Cheryl! Cheryl is no stranger here at Lasting Memories and it is always a pleasure to have her be our guest!

Hi everyone! My name is Cheryl Even and I’m very excited to be a guest designer for Lasting Memories this month.  A Southern California native, I have been married to my college sweetheart Greg for 30 years and am a stay-at-home mom/chauffeur for my kids. I am a voracious reader and also love playing Scrabble on my Kindle. I have been scrapbooking since I went to my first scrapbooking party and decided to try it for a month to see if I liked it. 24 years later, I think you could say I stuck with it and loved it! I started creating scrapbook sketches in 2010 and am now up to 100 sketches. I usually find time every week to hide away in my craft room so I can scrapbook, and then I post my completed work on my blog, https://evenmorescrapping.blogspot.com/.

Welcome, Amy Jo and Cheryl! We look forward to seeing your beautiful creations each week!

We will be back tomorrow with our theme for May and our first challenge of the month so be sure to stop back by!
