Our "Scrappy" Friends!

Welcome!

Hello fellow scrapbookers!!! Welcome to "Lasting Memories" which is all about LAYOUTS!! Yes, JUST layouts! There are no cards allowed here. We have weekly themed challenges, but you have the whole month to get in on the fun! Our challenges begin each Sunday at 8am EST and all 4 challenges will end on the date listed on the sidebar at 6pm EST. At month's end, we will choose a GDT to join us for a month! Only one entry per challenge, and no back-linking is allowed since we would love to know that we "challenged" you. We look forward to challenging you and helping you get your pages completed!

Specialized Hosting Sites

A lot of crafters use specialized hosting sites that not all of us have access to. We just wanted to let you know that if we don't comment, it's because we don't have access - but we see your work here at LM and appreciate your taking the time to link up and show off your style!!

LM #757 - Jill's Favorites: Tools

Hello everyone, and welcome to a new month of challenges here at Lasting Memories. This is Jill, and I thought it would be fun to focus on a few of our favorite things this month!

LM #757 - use your favorite die cutter, stencils, cutting device, pens/marker - whatever is your go-to tool.

Here are the fabulous layout from the design team, starting with our guest designer.

July GDT Alicia
Her favorite tool is her Gemini Junior, an electronic die-cutting and embossing machine.

I have used my favorite cutter, my ScanNCut, to cut everything out from my fussy cutting page to my flags on my page. It is definitely my go-to tool if I want something larger than a die cut.

One of my favorite tools is my WeR Memory Keepers Tag Maker, perfect for a line of tags as shown on my layout.

Don't you love the wonderful inspiration from the design team? Now it's your turn - link up your layouts to the linky below by Saturday, August 2nd at 10 PM EST for a chance to be our guest designer for an upcoming month.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. We can't wait to see what you create!

Please include your name and the challenge number in your link-up description. Only one link-up per challenge.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

Introducing Our July Guest Designer

Hello everyone, and a happy Saturday to you. Hope your weekend is off to a good start and you are enjoying your summer (or winter for our friends in the southern hemisphere)!

Today we are thrilled to announce our guest designer for July. This talented lady is going to inspire you with her marvelous creations, so please join me in welcoming Alicia!

August GDT Alicia
Hi my name is Alicia O'Bryant.  I have lived in Ohio for the last 20 plus years.  I raised my son there but we are now empty nesters.  My situation makes for more time to craft and travel.  I have been crafting since high school and have played around with many media but paper has a special place in my heart.  Photography is also my passion, making scrapbooking the perfect craft for me!  I have scrapped thousands of pages over the years and truly appreciate the ideas and challenges from blogs like Lasting Memories to help keep my pages looking fresh.  I am excited to be a guest designer for July. I expect this month's challenges will provide a lot of fun and games for us all.

You can see more of Alicia's inspiring work on her blog here.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today. We will be back tomorrow with a new theme and the first of five fun challenges for July!
