Our "Scrappy" Friends!

Welcome!

Hello fellow scrapbookers!!! Welcome to "Lasting Memories" which is all about LAYOUTS!! Yes, JUST layouts! There are no cards allowed here. We have weekly themed challenges, but you have the whole month to get in on the fun! Our challenges begin each Sunday at 8am EST and all 4 challenges will end on the date listed on the sidebar at 6pm EST. At month's end, we will choose a GDT to join us for a month! Only one entry per challenge, and no back-linking is allowed since we would love to know that we "challenged" you. We look forward to challenging you and helping you get your pages completed!

Specialized Hosting Sites

A lot of crafters use specialized hosting sites that not all of us have access to. We just wanted to let you know that if we don't comment, it's because we don't have access - but we see your work here at LM and appreciate your taking the time to link up and show off your style!!

LM #796 - This or That: New papers or Scraps

Greetings, everyone. This is design team member Cheryl wishing you a happy Sunday! The month has sped by again, and we are at our final This or That challenge of April. Hopefully you all got to play along at least once as I challenged you to choose between two options to inspire your layout. Ready for today's challenge? Let's go!

LM#796 - THIS: Use never before used pieces of paper OR
THAT: Use all scraps except the base paper.

For the THIS option, you can cut the papers up but they must start out as whole sheets. Here are the design team's layouts, starting with our guest designer.

April GDT Jessica
THAT - Jessica chose to use scraps on her layout.

THAT - I used scraps for this layout; even the base page has a hole in the middle from a circle cut.

THAT - I chose to use scraps!

Now that the design team has shared their takes on the challenge, it's your turn to choose between This or That! Whatever you choose, please link up your layouts to the linky below by Saturday, May 2nd at 10 PM EST for a chance to be our guest designer for an upcoming month.

LM #795 - This or That: Stars or Hearts

Good morning, everyone. It's been a crazy month for me with my hubby getting a kidney transplant, and having my sister and her hubby (the donor) as house guests since mid-March, but things are starting to get back to normal. Whether you are experiencing a normal month or something a little crazy, we are glad you stopped by to check out our latest challenge.

This month we are playing a game of THIS or THAT! This is design team member Cheryl, and I am challenging you to choose between the following two options to inspire your layout.

LM #795 - THIS: Use stars on your layout OR THAT: Use hearts on your layout.

Here are the design team's layouts, starting with our guest designer.

April GDT Jessica
Jessica obviously went with hearts!

Wendy
I chose lots of stars for my page!

I chose Hearts!

Lisa
Lisa loves hearts and stars, but opted to use hearts on her scraplift from Lilith Eeckels of American Crafts.

What awesome work by the design team! Now it's your turn to show us your layouts inspired by the word play. Link up your layouts to the linky below by Saturday, May 2nd at 10 PM EST for a chance to be our guest designer for an upcoming month.

LM #794 - This or That: Stickers or Stamps/Die-cuts

Greetings, everyone, and thanks for dropping in to check out our latest challenge. This is design team member Cheryl, and all our challenges this month require you to make a choice between the two given options to inspire your layout. Are you ready to decide between This or That? Let's go!

LM#794 - THIS: Use alphabet stickers for your title OR
THAT: Create your own title using die-cuts or stamps.

Here are the fabulous layouts from the design team, starting with our guest designer.

April GDT Jessica
THAT - Jessica chose to use a die-cut title.

Lisa
THIS - Stickers. I like using both stickers and die-cuts, but probably use stickers more because they are quicker. However, the running out of vowels is an issue you don't have with stamps and dies.

THIS - I love to used sticker alphabet  or sticker words. Occasionally use die-cuts but don't have many word dies. I do use words in ephemera packs whenever possible.

THAT - I feel like stamps and die-cuts are so versatile because you never have to worry about running out, and with die-cuts, you can size them to fit your space!

Awesome job, design team. Now it's everyone else's turn to choose between This or That! Whatever you choose, please link up your layouts to the linky below by Saturday, May 2nd at 10 PM EST for a chance to be our guest designer for an upcoming month.
