LM #810 - Jill's Favorite Things: Tools

Greetings, everyone, and welcome to a wonderful new month of challenges here at Lasting Memories. Whether you are gearing up fmor school to start again or enjoying a relaxing vacation, we hope you take time to scrapbook those important memories. LM #810 - Favorite tool: Use your favorite die cutter, stencils, cutting device, pens/marker-whatever is your go to tool.

Heidi's favorite tool is her Sizzix Big Shot, which she uses to make die-cuts.

My favorite tool is my Big Shot die cutter. I made all the flowers and the leaves using my die cutters and some fun dies.

My current favorite is my border punches, as I'm trying to make myself use them more.

Introducing our August Guest Designer

Hello, everyone! I have been super busy getting my house ready to have the hardwood floors refinished, so I almost forgot to post our GDT introduction for August! She has guest designed for us previously and hardly needs an intro, but here it is anyway just in case anyone is new to our blog. Join me in welcoming Heidi back to Lasting Memories for the month.

Hi everyone! My name is Heidi and I live in Orange County in sunny Southern California. I live with my husband and 2 kitties Jupiter and Europa. I started scrapbooking almost 20 years ago when it was offered as an elective at my high school (can you believe it?!) and I haven’t stopped since. My favorite way to create a page is to start with a sketch and a color palette and then pull everything from my stash in those colors. I never know what I’ll end up using on a layout. I have lots of hobbies like yoga, reading books and video games, but I love the creative outlet that scrapbooking provides me. It allows me to connect with my memories on a more meaningful level than just scrolling through my phone. Thank you so much for having me at Lasting Memories as this month’s guest designer. Introducing Our July Guest Designer

Hello, everyone, and thanks for stopping by Lasting Memories Challenge Blog. It's Independence Day here in the United States, and I'm so excited to be celebrating our nation's 250th anniversary! Whether you are taking pictures today to scrap later, or are working on a vacation album or scrapping Christmas photos or even plugging away at your kid's school album, we are glad you decided to check out our blog and hope our challenges inspire your crafting.

We have a whole bunch of new challenges for July starting tomorrow, but today we want to introduce you to our July Guest Designer. We know you are going to enjoy seeing her layouts this month! Please help us welcome Deanne.

My name is Deanne Clarke-Saunders. My hubby and I live in Paradise,

Newfoundland, Canada. I was an elementary teacher for 23 years but retired early. I am now an Early Childhood Educator (couldn’t stay away from the kiddies!!). I have always enjoyed playing with paper, scissors, glue, and ESPECIALLY crayons and pencil crayons, ever since I’ve been a small child. I just couldn’t stop playing, so I continued by scrapbooking and card-making! I love it!!! My hubby calls me a paper hoarder. He just MAY be right, but I’d never tell him that!!! A man doesn’t need to know he’s  right!!! haha!

Hi everyone. This is Cheryl, and I hope you all have been having a great month and enjoying some pleasant weather. It's hot here in Southern California where I am, so it's nice to escape to my air conditioned scrap room! Have you all been inspired by our June-themed challenges this month? If you haven't played along yet, maybe this one will prompt you to put on your thinking cap and create a layout!

LM #805 - June has some super hard letters to use for word play, but do it anyway! Use a product or technique on your layout for each letter in JUNE.
