Specialized Hosting Sites

A lot of crafters use specialized hosting sites that not all of us have access to. We just wanted to let you know that if we don't comment, it's because we don't have access - but we see your work here at LM and appreciate your taking the time to link up and show off your style!!

LM #427 - This and That - Patterned Paper Challenge

Hello and Happy Sunday! I hope that everyone had a good Christmas and that you're looking forward to the new year.

Yesterday we introduced our 3 talented guest designers for January. If you haven't checked out the post be sure to check it out and say hello to Krystle, Ella, and Jennifer.

Before we get to the new theme and challenge I want to let you know of a change here on the blog. The link-up will now be added at the end of each challenge instead of at the top of the blog page.

Now, onto this week's challenge. In January we will work on using up some of our supplies in our stash that maybe we have - dare I say it - a little too much of - OR items that are being neglected - hence our theme of "This and That". For the first challenge of the new year, we are going to concentrate on all that pretty paper we have in our stash.

LM #427 - Patterned Paper - Use at least 3 different patterned papers on your layout. You can use more but you must use at least 3.

Here are the beautiful layouts from the design team - starting with our guest designers:

Denise

Deanna

Beautiful inspiration from our talented team!

Link up your layouts by Saturday, February 2nd for a chance to be our guest designer and for a chance to win this:

Introducing Our January Guest Designers

Hello and Happy Saturday! Can you believe it is the last weekend of 2018?! Tomorrow will be our first challenge of 2019 and we look forward to bringing you another year of challenges.

Today we are introducing our Guest Designers for January. We have 3 talented scrappers joining us this month. First up is Krystle:

I am excited to be this month's guest designer! I love being inspired by challenges to create layouts to document my memories. I am a long-time scrapper, having begun to scrap in 1998. Now my hobby has become an obsession! For me, scrapbooking is therapeutic and I enjoy preserving memories in such a beautiful way. I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico with my husband and son, who is the subject of most of my layouts. I look forward to a great month of creating with you!
You can see Krystle's beautiful work on her blog - High Times in the High Desert.

Ella

Hello everyone!
I'm Ella, which is a polish diminutive from Elisabeth. I come from Poland but since 2006 I live near to Ratisbon, Bavaria, Germany with my family. I have two sons (7 and 11).
I love to crochet and knit, I also draw and paint. I've been interested in scrapbooking and cardmaking in 2016. I think it's some kind of art to and I think some experience from painting can be helpful in scrapbooking. For me it's a wonderful time to spend free time. I invite you to my blog Moje Craftowe Przygody, which means My Crafting Adventures.

Jennifer

Hi, I'm Jennifer and I'm so glad to be a guest designer for Lasting Memories this month!  I live in southern NJ, married to my husband..we just celebrated 20 years of wedded bliss!!  Together we have two kids who are usually the subject of my scrapping, Declan is 16 and Keira is 14.  I've been scrapping and card making for 11 years...not sure where that time went!  When I'm not crafting, cleaning or cooking, I'm a lunch aide for 1st and 2nd graders and a substitute secretary for our middle and high schools.  Although I don't create as often as I'd like, please visit MY BLOG.

We are so excited to have Krystle, Ella, and Jennifer joining us in January and look forward to seeing their creations each week!

Come back tomorrow for our first challenge of 2019. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Since this is the last challenge for the month, and for 2018, we want to say a big thank you to our guest designer for December, Jill! I have really enjoyed Jill's layouts that she has shared each week. Thank you, Jill, for being our guest designer!

My favorite Holiday "item" is being together with my family.... ok and the Christmas tree ;-)

I created a layout to showcase my collection of Precious Moments.

We know the holiday season is busy but we do hope that you can find some time to play along with us!

We will be back in two weeks with a new set of challenges for you!

LM #424 - Holiday Traditions - Old Time Photo

Hello, everyone! Happy December! Can you believe this year is almost over? Be on the lookout for winners post this week for October and November challenges.

A new month means a new theme and a new set of challenges, but before we get to that, we have a new Guest Designer to introduce. Please give a warm welcome to our December Guest Designer, Jill Rugg:

I live in Somerset, Pennsylvania with my husband, our 20 year old daughter and 11 year old son. I am a high school mathematics teacher and use scrapbooking as my creative outlet. I have been crafting since I was a child, but in 2003 I fell in love with scrapbooking and it has become my favorite hobby. Of course, my family photos are always my inspiration for my layouts. In 2010 I started a blog and love participating in all the fun challenges! Thank you Lasting Memories for having me as Guest Designer. It is a big honor for me!

You can see Jill's beautiful work on her blog - Just Jill.

Now, on to the challenge. For December, DT Lauren is our hostess and she has created some great challenges for us. Our theme is - Holiday Traditions - and our first challenge is:

LM #424 - Old Time Photo - create a layout with a photo from the holidays when you were a child.

Here is a look at the design team creations - starting with our guest designer, Jill:

{I pulled out some vintage looking Fancy Pants papers that were dated 2012 to go with this old Christmas photo. I'm the little one on the left riding the little wooden horse.}

Natalie

Here we have 1990ish and 1994! I have been meaning to tell this story, and I am so happy this prompt made me finally do it!

Lauren
I used old K&Co Papers to document Christmas 1992.  I was 9 years old and REALLY into American girl dolls at that time!

Such beautiful layouts from the design team!

We know the holiday season is busy but we do hope that you can find some time to play along with us!

Link up your layouts by Saturday, December 29th for your chance to be our guest designer and for the chance to win a $15 gift certificate to an online store of choice.

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you find time to create with us this week!
