Introducing Our February Guest Designers

Hello everyone!

I'm Ella, which is a polish diminutive from Elisabeth. I come from Poland but have lived near to Ratisbon, Bawaria, Germany with my family since 2006. I have two sons (11 and 16 years old). I love to crochet and knit, and I also draw and paint. I've been interested in scrapbooking and cardmaking since 2016. I think it's some kind of art, too and my painting experience can be helpful in scrapbooking. For me, it's a wonderful way to spend my free time. I invite you to my blog Moje Craftowe Przygody, which means My Crafting Adventures.

Hello there - my name is Wendy Crowe and I am so excited to be Guest Designer again here at Lasting Memories. I always love the fun mix of challenges - every month they come up with great ideas to create creative pages. I have been scrapping for over 20 years and have amassed quite the “collection” of goodies and these challenges certainly make me dig deep to use my stash. I have recently become a grandmother, so now I can start all over again scrapping fun pages for my granddaughter. My 3 kids love my hobby and are always willing to make sure I have lots of pictures to work with. I also have 2 kitties that like to “help” me with my pages. My style is simple, but I love trying new ideas and techniques. Lasting Memories sure helps me with that! I’m looking forward to sharing more fun pages and ideas with you all!

Sometimes I start a layout without thinking through my process, but often it helps to have some direction first. This month, we are deliberately focusing on different aspects of our design in order to give some pizzazz to the finished product.

 LM #735 - Focus on Your Finishes - create visual triangles by adding three groups of embellishments.

LM #734 - Deliberate Designs: Photos

Hello, scrappy friends, and welcome back to the Lasting Memories challenge blog. Can you believe we are already more than half way through January? Time is running out to play along with this month's challenges, but don't worry, we still have two more for you to join. This is Cheryl, here with this week's challenge!

 

Sometimes I start a layout without thinking through my process, but often it helps to have some direction first. This month, we are deliberately focusing on different aspects of our design in order to give some pizzazz to the finished product.

LM #734 - Focus on Your Photos - use multiple photos (at least two) but be sure to give your focus photo the star treatment.

I matted the photo and raised it on foam tape to emphasize it more.

LM #733 - Deliberate Designs: Journaling

Hello, and happy Sunday. We hope you are all staying safe out there and enjoying the start of 2025. This is Cheryl, and I am hosting the challenges this month. Are you ready for a new challenge? Let's go!

Sometimes I start a layout without thinking through my process, but often it helps to have some direction first. This month, we will deliberately focus on different aspects of our design in order to give some pizzazz to the finished product.

LM #733 - Focus on Your Story - do something with your journaling that is a little outside your comfort zone.

Here is a look at our design team creations, starting with our guest designer.

 Barbara cut the information out of a brochure and used it as her journaling.

I printed my journaling on a piece of vellum.

Lisa

I used 9 sets of stamps to do journaling on a 4 x 6 pocket card.

Cheryl

I wrote my journaling on two die-cut ornaments; the top one slides aside so you can see the journaling on the back one.

LM #732 - Deliberate Designs: Title

Happy New Year, everyone. Hoping you all had a safe and blessed start to 2025. It's time for our second January design-focused challenge, so here we go!

LM #732 - Focus on Your Title - use an extra large or long title, get creative with multiple fonts, replace a couple of letters in your title with pictures, etc.
