Introducing March's Guest Designer

Hello and good Saturday morning to you! I hope that your weekend is off to a good start. Today we are excited to announce our guest designer for March.

"Hi, I am Alicia O'Bryant and live in Cincinnati.  I have been crafting most of my life.  I have played mostly with paper and beads.  My scrapbooking subject matter changes from kids to travel in a heartbeat.  I love to take photos and create pages to accent them the best.  I wish my dog was more photogenic but I get a good shot of him every once in a while too.  I look forward to playing along with Lasting Memories challenges this month, thank you for having me guest."

LM #486 - Once Loved, Now Forgotten - Tool Free-For-All

Hello, everyone! Welcome back to Lasting Memories - we are so happy that you stopped by today! I can't believe that it is already time for our last challenge of February. This month has seemed to fly by. Before we get to our last challenge, I want to take the time to thank our guest designers for February - Bethany and Karen. I have really enjoyed seeing their layouts each and every week this month.

Now, on to the challenge. As a reminder - our theme for February has been -"Once loved, now forgotten"  - and we have been focusing on those tools and supplies that are collecting dust.  Let's show them some love! This week's challenge is"

LM #486 - Tool free-for-all - Use any tool that's been collecting dust in your craft room - i.e. crimper, crop o dile, paper piercer, punches, stamps, die cutters, etc.

February Guest Designer - Karen
I used a distresser tool, sew stitch tool on the triangles stamps, and a stencil I bought two years ago and never used.

February GDT - Bethany
I can't say that my Silhouette collects much dust, but it is my favorite scrapbook tool! I used a great flower/frame cut file from Paige Evans and added my own twist on this layout of Munich!

I used a tool, I bought a long time ago and never used: a circle sew easy tool. But I have to say: it did not work. I did my very best with the stitching and I love how it turned out.

Lori K

I used two of my tools that were gathering dust ~ my Wavy Trimmer and my Tearing Tool.  It was fun working with both of them again.

LM #485 - Once Loved, Now Forgotten - Die Cuts

Hello, everyone! Good Sunday morning to you! We hope you are having a good weekend. It is time for a new challenge here at Lasting Memories.

As a reminder, our theme for February is "Once loved, now forgotten" and we are focusing on using some of those tools and supplies that are collecting dust. This week's challenge is"

 LM #485 - Die cuts - Pull out your big shot, cricut or other die cutting machine and add at least one die cut to your layout. If you don't have a die cutting machine - you can add a die cut/ephemera piece to your layout.

 I used my Silhouette to trace and cut an image of Milan's Cathedral known as "The Duomo".

Used my Cricut to cut all of these Die Cuts

Denise
I used some of my older leaf die cuts.

Deanna
I don't have any special diecut machines so I used lots of prepackaged diecuts here.

Lauren
The title, basket of eggs, flowers and flourishes were all cut with a cricut.

Lori S

I used my Cuttlebug and an arrow, star, tag, and speech bubble metal dies for my traveler's notebook spread.

Hello, hello! Welcome back to Lasting Memories! I hope that you are having a good weekend. 

It's time for our second challenge of the month. Our theme for February is "Once loved, now forgotten" and we are focusing on some of those items in our stash that may be a little neglected. This week's challenge is:

I stamped blue and pink paper and then cut the words "Leonardo Da Vinci's" with my Silhouette. I love the detail that the stamping and stitching added to the title!

LM #483 - Once Loved, Now Forgotten - Punches

Hello, everyone! Happy Sunday to you! Welcome back to Lasting Memories. It's the start of a new month and that means we have a new theme and a new set of challenges for you.

Our theme and challenges for February are courtesy of DT member, Lauren, and I think you're going to like them! Our theme is "Once loved, now forgotten."
