Welcome!

Hello fellow scrapbookers!!! Welcome to "Lasting Memories" which is all about LAYOUTS!! Yes, JUST layouts! There are no cards allowed here. We have weekly themed challenges, but you have the whole month to get in on the fun! Our challenges begin each Sunday at 8am EST and all 4 challenges will end on the date listed on the sidebar at 6pm EST. At month's end, we will choose a GDT to join us for a month! Only one entry per challenge, and no back-linking is allowed since we would love to know that we "challenged" you. We look forward to challenging you and helping you get your pages completed!

Introducing January's Guest Designer and a New Design Team Member!

Hello, everyone! Happy New Year's Eve to you! I hope that you are having a good day.

Today we are introducing our guest designer for January and we have a new design team member to welcome! First up is our guest designer. Please give a warm welcome to the super talented Cheryl:

Hi everyone! My name is Cheryl Even and I’m very excited to be a guest designer for Lasting Memories this month. A Southern California native, I have been married to my college sweetheart Greg for 30 years and am a stay-at-home mom/chauffeur for my kids. I am a voracious reader and also love playing Scrabble on my Kindle. I have been scrapbooking since I went to my first scrapbooking party and decided to try it for a month to see if I liked it. 24 years later, I think you could say I stuck with it and loved it! I started creating scrapbook sketches in 2010 and am now up to 100 sketches. I usually find time every week to hide away in my craft room so I can scrapbook, and then I post my completed work on my blog, https://evenmorescrapping.blogspot.com/.

LM #630 - 2022 Favorite Challeges - Shapes

Hello, everyone! Welcome back to Lasting Memories - we are so happy that you stopped by today. This will be our last challenge of the month - and year! The design team will be taking the next couple of weeks off to enjoy the holidays. We will be back on January 1st to kick off the new year with fun new challenges for you.

Before we get to this week's challenge, we sadly have to say goodbye to one of our design team members. Deanna is stepping down from the team. She has been a part of the Lasting Memories family for almost five years sharing her beautiful work with us each week. It has been a pleasure working with her and we wish her all the best. Many heartfelt thanks to you, Deanna, for being a part of our team for so long.

We also want to say a big thank you to our December guest designer, Jill! It has been a pleasure working with Jill this month and I always enjoy seeing her beautiful work!

Now, on to this week's challenge.

For December we have been revisiting some of our most popular challenges from this year - according to Inlinkz. Our fourth most popular theme was from April and was our shapes theme. Here is this week's challenge:

LM #630 - Shapes (April 2022) - Create a layout and choose one of the following shapes to feature on it:

Triangles, circles, hearts, or hexagons

(this can be one big shape or your chosen shape used multiple times across your layout - for example - a big circle on your background, or lots of different-sized hearts all over your layout, etc.).

LM #629 - 2022 Favorite Challenges - New Challenges/New Ideas

Hello, hello! Welcome back to Lasting Memories - we are so happy that you have stopped by today!

It is time for our third challenge of the month. For December we are revisiting some of our most popular challenges of 2022 according to Inlinkz. Our third most popular theme of the year was January's - New Challenges/New Ideas. For this week's challenge we have combined two challenges from January.

LM #629 - New Challenges/New Ideas (January 2022) Create a monochromatic layout and use black and white photos. Neutral colors are allowed (black, white, off-white, kraft, and grey).

LM #628 - 2022 Favorite Challenges - Wedding Inspiration

Hello, hello! Happy Sunday to you! I hope that you are having a good weekend.

It's time for our second challenge of the month. Our theme for December is "Favorite Challenges from 2022" and our second most popular theme for 2022 was - Wedding Inspiration - so this week's challenge is:

LM #628 - Wedding Inspired (May 2022) - Create a layout and use something old, something new, something borrowed (either scraplift someone or use a sketch, etc.), and add something blue.
