Introducing October's Guest Designers!

 Hello and Happy Saturday! I am just popping in today to remind you that today is the last day to enter our September challenges. You have until 6 PM CDT to get your layouts linked up for a chance at this month's prize - a $15 gift certificate to an online store of choice.

October GDT - Sue

I have been crafting since I was 12. Started with knitting, followed by dressmaking, embroidery, and crochet. I only started cardmaking when I retired and it seems to have taken over the house! I then became interested in scrapbooking and did a few local classes, but didn't do much until we had been on holiday to Australia in 2014 and I decided to do an album. It took me five years, with lots of gaps between pages! I've now just finished one of our trip to Canada and the USA in 2010. This one has only taken me a few weeks. I'm getting faster!

October GDT - Shannon

Hi!  My name is Shannon and I reside in Fort Wayne, IN.  I am the proud mother of 2 children and three furbabies!  I have been married to my best friend for nearly 30 years and he enables my scrapbook addiction!  I love taking pictures and am currently training my puppies to say "Cheese".  When I am not scrapping, walking my dogs or running kids around, I am a social worker/therapist and own my own private practice.  I LOVE going to theme parks and am a fan of "scream therapy"!  There's nothing better than the feeling you get racing around on a roller coaster!  I am also a Disney fanatic!

LM #516 - Wonders of the World - Australia

Hello, everyone! Good Sunday morning to you! We are so happy that you have stopped by today. I hope you are having a good weekend. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those affected by the West Coast wildfires. We hope that relief comes to you all soon.

It's time for the last challenge of the month here at Lasting Memories. As a reminder - our theme for September has been "Wonders of the World" and we are celebrating different cultures around the world.

This week we are off to Australia:

  LM #516 - Australia - September is Spring, it truly is the most beautiful time of the year in Australia. The wildlife, trees, and flowers are in abundance. I would like to see FLOWERS on your layouts this week. It can be embellishments, stamped images, or on pattern paper.

Yes, if you turn the world upside down, we would be the right way up. It's finally time to pull back out the swimming togs and head back to the beach and watering holes, with flowers blooming and trees blowing in the wind it is picture perfect! *

LM #515 - Wonders of the World - China

Happy Sunday! Welcome back to Lasting Memories! It is time for our third challenge of the month and we look forward to seeing your take on it!

As a reminder - our theme for September is - Wonders of the World - and we are celebrating different cultures each and every week.

This week we are headed to China. The Chinese are well known for their Feng Shui. So our challenge for this week is:

LM #515 - China - Create a layout that is balanced and using the colours of the Chinese calendar - White and Blue.

*The Chinese year of the White Metal Rat has a main element of Water and is the "yang" and represents the beginning of a new day. The Chinese year colour Blue is for Trust, Honesty, and Loyalty. It increases Immune Protection. It encourages us to open up with enthusiasm towards everything in life and make things wonderful around us, while at the same time helps us live in harmony.*

Hello, hello! We are so happy that you are here today. We are in the middle of a nice long weekend here in the USA and I hope that wherever you are, that you are having a good weekend.

It's time for our second challenge for September. Our theme for this month is - Wonders of the World - and this week we are visiting England/UK.

 England and the UK are filled with history and traditions. The love and loyalty to their Royal Family are based on Faith and Culture. So this week's challenge is:
