Introducing September's Guest Designer!!

Hello, hello! Happy Saturday! I hope your weekend is off to a good start.

Today we are excited to introduce our guest designer for September. Please help us welcome the talented Karen B! I love Karen's style and I know she will be sharing beautiful inspiration with us each week in September.

Thank you for inviting me to be a guest designer at Lasting Memories this month.

About me: I'm married with an adult daughter, and I work full-time. We live on 14 acres in a semi-rural area in Southeast Queensland, Australia - with eucalyptus trees, koalas, kangaroos, native birds, chickens, and a dog. When not "safe at home" I enjoy country drives, hiking and camping, and visiting local markets and cafes. I've been scrapbooking for around 20 years, and I still love traditional layouts best of all. Fun trivia piece - I was on the LM design team back in 2014! I've dabbled in all kinds of techniques and styles, and I enjoy trying new things, but my go-to, happy-place style is simple and linear. On most of my layouts you'll see simple colour combos, old stash (!) with personal touches such as machine stitching, doodling or fussy cutting. LM #562 - Get Your Game On - Sequence

Happy Sunday! Welcome back to Lasting Memories! I can't believe it is already time for our last challenge of the month.

Our challenges this month have all been inspired by different board/card/video games and this week's challenge is inspired by the board game - Sequence.

The object of the game Sequence is to create horizontal, vertical, or diagonal rows of five chips on the board.

August 22nd - LM #562 - Team B - Sequence - This week I am giving you 3 options for your challenge:

Option #1 - Create a layout with a grid background -

Option #2 - Line up your photos in a row across your layout - this can be vertically, horizontally, or on the diagonal.

Option #3 - Show us a sequence of events in your photos - or now and then photos, or before and after photos.

LM #561 - Get Your Game On! - Uno!

Hello, everyone! Welcome back to Lasting Memories! I can't believe it is already the middle of August. This month and this year is flying right on by.

It's time for our third challenge of the month. Our theme for August has been - Get Your Game On!- and our challenges this month are inspired by different board/card/video games.

This week's challenge is inspired by the card game Uno.

The object of the game Uno is to get rid of all of the cards in your hand. When you only have one card you have to shout "UNO" to let everyone know you are down to your last card. So this week's challenge is:

LM #560 - Get Your Game On! - Mario Party

Hello, everyone! Happy Sunday to you! I hope you're having a great weekend. June and July's Top 3, GDT picks, and winners were announced yesterday - in case you missed it!

Let's get on with today's challenge. Our challenges this month will all be inspired by different board/card/video games and this week's challenge will be based on the Super Mario Party video games.

LM #559 - Get Your Game On - Bingo!

Hello, everyone! Welcome back to Lasting Memories! We are so happy that you have stopped by today.

It's the start of a new month and that means we have a new theme and a new set of challenges for you. Our theme for August is - Get Your Game On! - and all of our challenges this month will all be inspired by different board/card/video games. Our first challenge of the month is:

LM # 559 Bingo! - Use the bingo board below for your layout. Pick any row, column, or diagonal and use those items on your layout.

Please let us know which items you use on your layout and have fun!

This is wide open to your interpretation - for the stripes - this can be a striped patterned paper or striped washi tape, a striped border sticker, etc. Mixed Media can be as simple as mist or splatters, watercolors, etc. The rainbow could be an image in the photos, a patterned paper, a sticker or die-cut, etc.
