LM #682 - Sketch Challenge With a Scrappy Twist - Punches

 Hello Scrapping Friends!

Happy New Year!  Welcome to a new year of fun and exciting Challenges here at Lasting Memories Layout Challenges.  This is Lori, and for the month of January we will be doing Sketches with a Scrappy Twist.

 For this week, the challenge is to use this sketch from Page Maps, and the scrappy twist is to use a punch on your layout; if you don't have any punches you can always use a die cut. We look forward to seeing what you create!

LM #682 - use this sketch and include a punched or die cut item on your layout.

She used old flower punches (purchased in the early 2000s!) for her embellishments and a corner punch for her pink frame.

Introducing Our January Guest Designer

Good morning, everyone. 2023 is almost over, and it's time to enjoy another year of scrappy challenges here at Lasting Memories! We enjoyed seeing all the beautiful and creative layouts last year, and hope you continue to play along with us in 2024. 

I need to start with a quick update to the rules before we get to our guest designer, but don't worry, it's nothing painful. Here we go:

1. When you add your layout to the Linky, please use your name (first name only is okay) and the challenge number. You should mention the challenge number somewhere in your post, but this helps us if you forget.

2. Please only submit one layout for each challenge. This means a limit of four (sometimes five) Link-ups per month per person, and each must be for a different challenge. 

Now that that is done, I am thrilled to announce our guest designer for January. She has been a guest designer for Lasting Memories before, and we are happy to welcome her back, so let me re-introduce Amy Jo.

Hi there! I’m Amy Jo Johnston and I live with my husband and 11-year-old daughter in Arvada, Colorado. I’m originally from small town Minnesota but moved to Arizona when I was in elementary school. I earned my BA in Secondary Education with an emphasis in mathematics at ASU and went on to teach high school math for 6 years. 16 years ago, I moved to Denver and starting coaching dance full time in the NBA. My passion for scrapbooking starting when I was in elementary school and really took off when my twin nieces were born in 2004. Family gatherings are my favorite things to document, but I also love showcasing highlights from my NBA career. When I’m not scrapbooking, I love to spend time antiquing, taking yoga classes, and camping. Thank you for allowing me to be a guest designer this month; I am honored to share my creativity with this online community!

Introducing Our December Guest Designer
