LM #533 - Techniques - Embossing

 Happy Sunday! Welcome back to Lasting Memories. We are so happy that you stopped by today. It is time for a new theme and a new set of challenges for February so let's get started.

 LM #533 - "Embossing" Create a layout featuring embossing. It could be using some embossing folders or heat setting some embossing powder.

Introducing February's Guest Designer!!

Hello, everyone! Happy Saturday to you all! I do hope that your weekend is off to a good start.

 Today we are so happy to announce our guest designer for February - Susan:

 I'm an architect (and Star Wars fan for the last 45 years) from Flemington, NJ, and married to an amazing, patient husband who encouraged me to share our dining room space with my art supplies in our small circa 1889 Victorian house. My passions are community engagement and smart planning, travel, and the feel of a quality writing instrument in my hand. We are blessed with two wonderful boys and I love to document our family through scrapbooking because it provides me a way of getting some satisfaction organizing our photos and memories while simultaneously relaxing while I create art. I see my work as my personal journal or diary, with images and graphics. I love to incorporate old stash items in my collection with new items.

LM #532 - Events

Hello and Happy Sunday to you! We are so happy that you have stopped by today. Can you believe that today we are posting our last January challenge?! This first month of the new year is flying by.

LM #531 - Best Seller

 Hello, everyone! Welcome back to Lasting Memories! We are so happy that you have stopped by today. It is time for a new challenge and it's a fun one for you!

Our theme for January has been "Inspired By Wheel of Fortune Categories" and this week our challenge is:

LM #531 - "Best Seller" - Create a layout with a connection to a book.  Examples: use a book title as the title of your layout, use a photo of you dressed as your favorite literary character, use a photo of someone reading, create a layout about your favorite author or a favorite book, etc.

I was inspired by Elizabeth Peter’s novels about Amelia Peabody and her husband Emerson, turn of the century Egyptologists and solvers of mysteries. I used the title of her book, The Mummy Case, as the title of my layout, plus I was inspired by the design of the cover.

Introducing January's Guest Designer

Hello, everyone! We hope that you all had a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We are so excited to be kicking off the new year with all of you and we have a lot of great challenges lined up for you to get scrappy with!

Today we are introducing our January Guest Designer. This talented scrapper has joined us before and I always love to see her beautiful work! Please help us welcome Cheryl Even:

January GDT - Cheryl

Hi everyone! My name is Cheryl Even and I’m very excited to be a guest designer for Lasting Memories this month.  A Southern California native, I have been married to my college sweetheart Greg for 29 years and am a SAHM to four wonderful kids, Adrian, Elliot, Brianna, and Oliver Angel. I’ve been scrapbooking ever since I went to my first scrapbooking party and decided to try it for a month to see if I liked it. 22 years later, I think you could say I stuck with it and loved it! I also design scrapbook sketches and post them on my blog, https://evenmorescrapping.blogspot.com/.  Although my life has changed quite a bit during this pandemic, I still keep busy raising four children and leading a women’s Bible study while finding time every week to sneak away to my craft room to scrapbook!
